We work with you to create your dream wedding and our wedding coordinator will be there on the day making sure every detail is exactly right. We have a selection of menus and drinks options for you to choose from, or we can create a bespoke package entirely tailored to your needs.

What is the Capacity for Weddings?

Do you have minimum numbers?

Sunday to Thursday — Min 60 persons
Friday and Saturday — Min 80 persons

Does Cottiers accommodate wedding receptions only?

Yes, we accommodate wedding receptions Sundays to Thursdays with Fridays and Saturdays being reserved for full days only. The minimum number of guests for a reception is 80.

When you booking a wedding do you have exclusive access to the full venue?

No, you have exclusive use of the theatre which has its own bar and toilets. Our restaurant and bar are still open to the public.

What time does the wedding finish?

You have the theatre until 1am.

Can you have your ceremony at Cottiers in addition to the wedding meal & reception?

Yes, we can host your ceremony although there is an additional fee for this.

Can I provisionally hold a date?

Yes, we can provisionally hold a date for 14 days, after which if no deposit is received the date will be released.

Do we have to use your recommended suppliers?

We can provide you a list of recommended suppliers, however you are free to use any supplier.

Do you have accommodation on site?

No, however there are several great hotels etc in the area and on booking you will receive preferential rates with Hilton on Byres Road.

Do you have parking?

There is lots of on street parking surrounding Cottiers, however all of it is paid parking using meters.

Is there an area for the bride and the groom to get ready?

No, we do have a room in the theatre that can hold belongings of the couple, etc., but not for getting ready.

How flexible are you with timings for the day?

We are happy to give you a suggestion of timings, however it is up to you how you would like the day to run, and we will work with you to ensure your preferred timings work.

Are you allowed confetti?

Yes, we allow confetti if it is biodegradable outside only.

Do you offer a complimentary tasting menu with the hire cost?

Yes, you are provided with a menu tasting of which you use to pick your wedding meal.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, our highly trained chefs will work alongside you to ensure all your dietary requirements of your guests are catered for. We also have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan options for you to choose from.

Are crockery and linen included in the price?

The hire price includes all tables, linen, cutlery, etc.

What table sizes do you have?

We offer the option of either round tables that seat 8-12 guests or banquet style tables that can range in size dependant on your numbers.

Do you provide cake stand and utensils?

Included in your hire costs is a silver round stand or wooden rectangular stand and knife.

What evening food do you offer?

There are several options for your evening buffet from finger food to breakfast rolls.

Do you accommodate a live band, DJ or Ceilidh?

Yes, we can accommodate all live music, there are strict controls on sound levels. Included in your hire cost is a member of our sound team who will look after all your music requirements from any playlists and live music.

Does the theatre have its own toilets?

Yes, it does.

Does the theatre have disabled access?

Yes, the theatre is fully accessible with the accessible toilets in the main foyer.

Can you bring in your own catering?

No, we have a dedicated wedding kitchen team who will look after all your needs and are happy to create bespoke menus if you are looking for something different.

Do you have the option of corkage?

Yes, our corkage fee is £15 and it is only available on wine and sparkling, not on beer or spirits.

Do you allow alcohol favours?

Yes, but no larger than 50ml.
