Theatre Information

There is no fixed seating bank in Cottiers Theatre.

• Audiences can be seated cabaret style with tables and chairs supplied by the venue. Normal theatre occupancy for cabaret seating is 150.
• Alternatively, audiences can be seated in rows of chairs on the flat. Normal theatre capacity for this layout is 200, although this can be increased up to 250 if the size of the stage permits.
• Normal theatre occupancy for all-standing events is 400.
• The maximum total occupancy for events is 450. This number includes all performers audience and staff (including venue staff).

Both the theatre and bar at Cottiers have wheelchair access. Entry to the bar is by the main door. Entry to the theatre is by a second door accessed from the courtyard beer garden, then down a shallow ramp into the auditorium.

For customers with limited mobility, the wheelchair accessible route is the easiest way to enter the theatre. It is also possible to walk from the main bar into the theatre without going through the courtyard, but there is a small set of stairs.

There is an accessible toilet immediately adjacent to the entrances to both the theatre and public bar.
