Please note, your completed hire agreement must be returned at least 90 days prior to the date of hire to secure your dates.

Ticket revenue (excluding our ticket fees) collected by the Theatre Box Office will be transferred to this account at the end of your hire

Theatre rates include one technician, PA, lights and staging area of (3 metres by 6 metres). We charge an additional £100 per performance for front of house which can be waived if you allocate a minimum of 50 tickets per performance to sell on your behalf. We then charge the customer a commission of £2 per ticket to cover our front of house costs

Please note that due to Cottiers 'residential status' the venue has strict sound restrictions. Following 10.30pm music played within the venue must not exceed 95db and hirers should schedule 'on stage' times accordingly or be prepared to lower volume levels to comply with restricted limits.

Please fill in the schedule below for each day of your hire.

The tech spec for the theatre shows all the equipment which is included as standard in your hire.

Any additional equipment must be hired in from third party suppliers. We are happy to sub-hire equipment on your behalf, provided we are given at least 14 days notice.

Equipment hired on your behalf will be subject to a 20% handling fee and all costs will be added to your invoice as applicable.

If you’re arranging equipment hire from other companies directly, please bear in mind our venue is not manned full time, so you’ll need to contact our technician to arrange suitable times for delivery and collection.

Equipment brought into the venue must comply with the inhouse safety requirements and suitability can be discussed with our technician as appropriate.

The technical specification document for the theatre shows the layout of the auditorium, plus gives details of all the lighting and sound equipment available as standard. Standard lighting and the installed parts of the sound kit (speakers, mixing desk etc) will be set up for your arrival.

The default state of the venue is for performances to take place at floor level at the pulpit end. If you wish, a raised staging platform can be erected to a height of 1m, in sections of 8m x 4m.

Any other equipment (e.g. mics, monitors, additional hire equipment) will be set up during your let hours.

You can request to have some or all of this equipment pre-rigged if you want, but this will incur an extra charge of at least £80 (minimum 4 hour call @ £20 per hour).

If you want items pre-rigged, please send lighting plots, sound design and technical drawings to technical@cottiers.com.

We don’t supply any laptops or PCs for playing sound effects or backing tracks or for running lighting cues.

Please remember to bring your own, including cables to connect to lighting and sound desks

Every visiting company must have a designated representative who is responsible for the company and equipment brought into the venue.

Any company which includes children under 16 must provide their own chaperones.

We require details for your event listing on our website.

This listing includes a booking link for customers to buy tickets online, a description of the show and a selection of media.

We add a £2.00 per ticket fee to the prices you set.

All your marketing should show the total customers will pay (your ticket price + £2.00).

The fee applies to all tickets, whether booked online, on the phone or in person.

Our standard concession policy is for OAPs (over 60); under 16s; students; disabled patrons and the unwaged.

We normally permit children under 2 into the auditorium free of charge, provided they sit on a parent’s knee.

We normally offer free tickets to carers accompanying disabled patrons.

We request a minimum of 50 tickets per show to sell through our Box Office.

You can sell tickets through other suppliers if you wish, but please note we can’t provide any physical tickets for you to pass on to them or to sell yourself. We can only generate tickets for sales through our own Box Office.

If you are selling tickets through other suppliers, someone from your company must be in the front of house area before each show to distribute these tickets and deal with any queries about them. Our Box Office staff and ushers can only help with tickets sold through the Theatre’s Box Office.

Following submission of your form, our representatives will contact you to discuss your hire costs.

The quote will be made up of our standard let fees, any applicable equipment hire & will be inclusive of VAT.

Once your hire has been confirmed, we will issue a deposit invoice for 25% of your total estimated hire cost. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Once you have filled in this hire form as completely as possible, please read the Terms & Conditions page carefully.

Your hire is not confirmed until your deposit invoice has been paid.
