Ivy Big Band is an Edinburgh-based big band for women and gender minorities, formed with the goal of amplifying gender diversity in jazz by creating a safe and inclusive space for women and gender minorities to play together. Founded in 2024 with just 10 members and now composed of 30 musicians, including saxophonists, trumpeters, trombonists, rhythm players and vocalists, the band blends jazz, pop, funk, soul and beyond.
