Chris Glen is a legendary bass player who has had a long and successful career at the top level of the music business.
He initially formed the Glasgow-based dream team rhythm section with Ted McKenna (RIP) as an integral part of Tear Gas which morphed into The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB). SAHB enjoyed a stellar period of releasing albums and touring throughout the world and the band remains an influence for a generation of musicians.
After SAHB disbanded Chris Glen went on to land some high level gigs with no less than Ian Gillan (of Deep Purple fame) and the legendary John Martyn amongst others. Latterly, Chris joined the Michael Schenker Group and was reunited with Ted McKenna to provide the backbone of the famous German guitarist’s albums and tours.
Chris enjoyed some success with his solo outings with The Outfit which toured the UK. Chris was also part of the recent Michael Schenker Fest which toured throughout the world.
This evening in the setting of the stunning Cottiers Theatre will be a rare chance to hear some of the songs which were an integral part of Chris Glen’s career up close and personal. Some very special guests will be involved.
