
The Glasgow University Shakespeare Society proudly presents their 2026 spring production of ‘HAMLET’ by William Shakespeare, directed by Theo Munro and assistant directed by Kira-Jane Dempster
“Hamlet returns from school after his Father’s untimely death for his Mother’s even more untimely marriage to his Uncle. When a vision of his Father appears to him, revealing the murderous truth of his death, Hamlet vows to seek revenge against his Uncle who usurped him. But Hamlet is young, naïve, and ignorant to the consequences of his actions, and as he spirals into madness and violence, he risks bringing the noble house of Hamlet down with him…”

Depictions and discussions of death, murder, and violence, including that of guns. Discussion of an implications of suicide (NOT self injury). Use of fake blood, strobe lighting, and poison. Drug and alcohol use, misogyny, implications of incest, and foul language.
Doors open at 7pm with the show starting promptly at 7:30pm
